Haworthia reinwardtii is a distinctive, eye-catching succulent featuring upright columns of fleshy, dark green leaves covered in raised white spots. The leaves grow in a tight spiral pattern, creating an unusual architectural appearance that makes this plant a standout addition to any succulent collection.

Originally from South Africa, this slow-growing succulent gradually produces offsets around its base, eventually forming an attractive clump of upright stems. It typically grows to around 10–15 cm tall, although established plants can reach up to 20 cm under favourable growing conditions.

  • Mature size: Approximately 10–15 cm tall, with clumps gradually spreading wider as offsets develop.

  • Growth rate: Slow to moderate.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Protect from intense afternoon sun.

  • Water: Allow the potting mix to dry out completely between waterings.

  • Soil: Well-draining cactus and succulent mix.

  • Growth habit: Upright, column-like stems that produce offsets and form clumps over time.

  • Foliage: Dark green, pointed leaves arranged in spirals and decorated with raised white spots.

  • Flowers: Small, tubular pinkish-white flowers on tall, slender stalks.

  • Temperature: Protect from frost and prolonged cold.

  • Suitable for: Pots, windowsills, patios, rock gardens and succulent collections.

Plant care tip: Haworthia reinwardtii prefers bright light without excessive harsh sun and is particularly sensitive to overwatering in poorly drained soil.

Please note: Plant size, colour and markings may vary depending on growing conditions. Each plant is unique, and the plant supplied may differ slightly from photographs.

Plants for sale are shown in a 9cm pot. The images will show the same or similar plant to the one sent to you.

Succulent colours can change due to the time of year, environment, or growing conditions.

Please note: Each plant is unique, and colour, variegation, size and shape will vary. The plant pictured may not be the exact plant you receive unless specifically stated. Variegated plants can also produce occasional non-variegated growth.

Please Note:

Plants are sent bare rooted. A snazzy way of saying it will arrive with minimal or no soil or pot.

Succulents need to travel with the least moisture as possible due to potential problems, such as rotting. This means they are taken out of their pots and their roots are allowed to dry out before sending. As a result, plants may arrive looking slightly different to photos. Some maybe a little dry looking or slightly wrinkled leaves for example, remember succulents are hardy and will bounce back with a little TLC. TLC instructions will be within your order.
