A Korean hybrid of uncertain parentage, Echeveria 'Monroe Chanel' is a compact succulent with soft blue leaves and a powdery finish. The rosette stays neat and symmetrical, growing up to 17 cm wide. In bright light or dry conditions, the leaf tips may blush pink or coral. It’s slow-growing and rarely produces pups. Flowers appear in spring on tall stems, with pink-orange bells.

Light

  • Prefers bright filtered light or morning sun.

  • Full sun enhances pigmentation but requires gradual acclimation to prevent leaf scorch.

  • Indoors: position near north- or east-facing windows.

Soil

  • Requires sharply draining, mineral-based substrate.

  • Recommended mix: 70–80% inorganic matter (e.g. coarse sand, pumice, scoria).

  • Avoid peat or moisture-retentive components.

 Watering

  • Water deeply only when substrate is fully dry.

  • Reduce frequency during winter or dormancy.

  • Avoid overhead watering to preserve farina and prevent rot.

 Climate

  • Protect from frost and prolonged humidity.

  • In humid regions (e.g. coastal NSW/QLD), ensure airflow and avoid overcrowding.

Container

  • Use shallow, breathable pots with drainage.

  • Terracotta preferred for moisture regulation.

 Propagation

  • Leaf cuttings possible but variable in success.

  • Offset production rare; not a prolific clumper.

Display Picture plant IS NOT for sale, it is added to showcase the beauty or growth habit of the plant.

Plants for sale are shown in a 7cm pot. The images will show the same or similar plant to the one sent to you.

Succulent colours can change due to the time of year, environment, or growing conditions.

Please Note:

Plants are sent bare rooted. A snazzy way of saying it will arrive with minimal or no soil or pot.

Succulents need to travel with the least moisture as possible due to potential problems, such as rotting. This means they are taken out of their pots and their roots are allowed to dry out before sending. As a result, plants may arrive looking slightly different to photos. Some maybe a little dry looking or slightly wrinkled leaves for example, remember succulents are hardy and will bounce back with a little TLC. TLC instructions will be within your order.

Feel free to contact us if you have any concerns with your order.
