Due to the limited watering needs of Lithops, it is not recommended to be placed where the plant will be subjected to rainfall. 

Add something truly unique to your succulent collection with Lithops salicola, commonly known as Living Stones. These fascinating little succulents have a distinctive stone-like appearance, with rounded, fleshy leaves that often feature subtle grey-green, olive or creamy tones and delicate markings on their flattened tops.

Perfectly adapted to blend in with rocky surroundings, Lithops are unusual, slow-growing succulents that make wonderful conversation pieces for collectors and plant lovers. Under suitable conditions, they can also produce a beautiful daisy-like flower, often white.

Care tips:

• Light: Provide plenty of bright light, introducing direct sunlight gradually.

• Water: Water sparingly during active growth and allow the growing mix to dry out between waterings. Avoid watering during the natural leaf-replacement period. Our supplier of Lithops recommends watering by standing pot in water until soil is wet and in Spring and Summer only. 

• Soil: Use a very free-draining, gritty mineral succulent mix.

• Drainage: Excellent drainage is essential, as Lithops are particularly susceptible to rot if kept too wet.

• Growth: Naturally slow-growing and compact, making them ideal for small pots and specialist succulent collections.

Each Lithops has its own unique markings and colouring, so the appearance may vary from plant to plant. A wonderful choice for anyone who loves unusual and low-growing succulents!

Please Note:

Plants are sent bare rooted. A snazzy way of saying it will arrive with minimal or no soil or pot.

Succulents need to travel with the least moisture as possible due to potential problems, such as rotting. This means they are taken out of their pots and their roots are allowed to dry out before sending. As a result, plants may arrive looking slightly different to photos. Some maybe a little dry looking or slightly wrinkled leaves for example, remember succulents are hardy and will bounce back with a little TLC. TLC instructions will be within your order.
