Graptopetalum amethystinum 'Lavender Pebbles' is prized for its unique, ethereal color palette and attractive form.
'Lavender Pebbles' most distinguishing feature is its compact rosettes of fleshy, plump oval shaped leaves that have a soft, powdery coating, giving them a matte, almost silvery appearance. The leaves are typically a pale lavender or light grayish lavender, which gives the plant its name. The coloration can deepen into more purple or pink hues when the plant is exposed to plenty of sunlight, particularly in the cooler months or in stress conditions.
'Lavender Pebbles' is considered a relatively slow grower compared to some other succulents. This plant tends to grow more gradually, developing its rosettes and spreading slowly over time. While it can be a bit slow to establish itself, it’s known for being a hardy and low-maintenance plant once it gets going. Proper care, such as providing it with enough sunlight and well-draining soil, can encourage healthier and more consistent growth.
- Produces star-shaped flowers that are typically a pale pink or white, blooming in the spring or early summer.
- Bright to indirect sunlight. Direct morning or late afternoon sunlight is ideal but not direct midday sun during the hot months of summer.
- Water when soil is dry and around the plant, not into the rosette.
- Will be compact for a long period of time although can reach heights of 15-30 cm and 30-45cm in diameter. (will form clumps with maturity)
- Thrives in warm temperatures and is not frost-tolerant.
- Propagation by offsets, leaves or stem – Of course propagating methods are yours to choose, but we would recommend offsets as the preferred method, as leaf propagation, because of the slow growing habit, to be a very slow way of reproducing a new plant.
- Winter dormant
Plants for sale are shown in a 7cm pot. The images will show the same or similar plant to the one sent to you.
Succulent colours can change due to the time of year, environment, or growing conditions.
Please Note:
Plants are sent bare rooted. A snazzy way of saying it will arrive with minimal or no soil or pot.
Succulents need to travel with the least moisture as possible due to potential problems, such as rotting. This means they are taken out of their pots and their roots are allowed to dry out before sending. As a result, plants may arrive looking slightly different to photos. Some maybe a little dry looking or slightly wrinkled leaves for example, remember succulents are hardy and will bounce back with a little TLC. TLC instructions will be within your order.
Feel free to contact us if you have any concerns with your order.
