The Echeveria Setosa var. 'Oteroi', commonly referred to as 'Mexican Firecracker', initially suggested that I was nurturing a mislabeled specimen. Although this variety is known for its hairier succulent leaves, the plant available for sale here is the non-hairy variant, yet it shares the same common name.
This plant variety features unique foliage with green leaves that display autumnal hues of red, yellow, and orange from the base when stressed. Additionally, it has leaves with a spoon-like shape and forms loose rosettes.
Flowers are tubular, red with yellow mouths.
Prefers full sun to partial shade and should be watered using the 'dry out before hydrating' method, which means allowing the soil to completely dry before watering again.
Plants for sale are shown in a 7cm pot, unless stated different. The images (not display photos) will show the same or similar plant to the one sent to you. Succulent colours can change due to the time of year, environment, or growing conditions. The size and colour of plants sent can vary to those in the photos.
Where possible a display picture will be added to showcase the beauty or growth habit of the plant. Photos marked ‘Display’ are not those sent when ordered.
Please Note:
Plants are sent bare rooted. A snazzy way of saying it will arrive with minimal or no soil or pot.
Our plants are grown outside in all-weather conditions (no hot houses) so some plants may have markings.
Succulents need to travel with the least moisture as possible due to potential problems, such as rotting. This means they are taken out of their pots and their roots are allowed to dry out before sending. As a result, plants may arrive looking slightly different to photos. Some maybe a little dry looking or slightly wrinkled leaves for example, remember succulents are hardy and will bounce back with a little TLC. TLC instructions will be within your order.
